The Barbarian Shump was taken down on top of the Dam. A dark dwarf drove a short sword through shump's chest. The barbarian the bled to death on top of the dam. Things were looking very bad for the party.

The cleric blined the giant dwarfs with some super cool sheild of blinding.
More dark dwarfs are spotted coming from up river. Things are looking very bad. The fighter is struck down and thrown from the top of the dam.
The Templar Cleric Bronson of Areial steps things up a notch.
The Socerrer Glim and the rouge Alto enter the fray.
A well placed arrow from Alto drops a dwarf off of the dam. Bronson has a few well placed swings with his flaming flail (note to dm to check that wepon out). The gnome and the halfling enter the hand to hand as if they were seasoned fighters. A giant is dropped at the hands of a gnome (the gnome does have giant slayer's in his clan). The other giant is brouhgt down in flame. Another dwarf is picked off by Alto. Alot then scurries to the top of the dam to take out two more dwarfs trying to escape. The fighter is then healed, the dam opened. The party returns to fourwinds and are greeted as heros.
The battle rages.

The halfling did some scouting on the dam. Then he got caught. The rest of the party rushed to his rescue. Some of the party made it to the top of the Dam. Some did not. The fight rages on. In Mythara the dark dwarfs run rampid in the underground and can grow from 4' to 12' in less than one round. I think the dark dwarfs will fight the characters off once again. I don't think the party can handle these giant dark dwarfs.

The Dam.

Another option for the Half Orcs.

I like this picture for the fighter and the cleric. Their god is areial the god of the air and travel. Their sister religion is Aqual god of water and travel. The knights of the Templar have branches in both religions and are responsible for defending the trade ways of the world.

Options for the Gnome.

This is the human fighter Andranor. The cleric has plans of inciating him as a knight of the Templar. He is more about the fight and the treasure. He is a native of Fourwinds.

Now thats a Ranger!

The other half orc Barbarian shump he died ontop of the dam! Struck down by the blade of a dark dwarf.
The dark dwarfs are holding their own at the dam.

This is a picture of the Barbarian half-orc thakk.

Catherine is the Mayor of Fourwinds. She is 25 years old and was apointed to office by her Uncle in Lord Kevlin of Skydeep. She is cute, very polite, honest and un married. The group has met with her once. She was a little deffencsive at first since she has been blamed for most of the problems with the drout. She now however is very aprriciative for the help the party is provding the town.

The Duergar really kick the players butt.

Making Characters. I let them roll 4d6 and drop the lowest. We stuck to Player Handbook charaters.

A picture of a Goblin.
Here is the adventure background for adventure one. I will post some premade characters and you can pick one out to use.

Adventure Background
The town of Four Winds is small and located along the trading route between the city of Skykeep and Wallfort. Many caravans stop here along the trading route, therefore the town pros-pers during the summer and fall trading months. Without the caravans to help support the town Four Winds it would simply be a small hamlet with a few farms.
The nearby mountains and forest present the local danger to the inhabitants of the town. There are many bands of kobolds, goblins that occasionally try raiding the town. The local mi-litia of Four Winds is experienced in repelling these attacks.
The shrine of Aqual is located outside of the town near the foothills of the mountains nearby. It was built many years ago by an old priest named Colebrun. The shrine is actually located just above a natural underground river that descends from the mountains. A man-made well of water is the heart of the shrine. The wa-ter well descends down into the underground river where fresh water can be pulled up from the well bucket. The priest Colebrun estab-lished this shrine several decades ago when dry weather had caused the death of many town people. Since this time the shrine has been a most revered and religious place in the hearts of the towns people.
Recently two events have occurred to cause the townsfolk to worry. A few months ago the shrine had become haunted with undead ghosts. A young boy named Mercus was nearly killed when he was gathering water from the shrines well one day. He was attacked by an undead creature that came out of the well. This sent a panic through the townsfolk and since this time nobody has gone to shrine. The local militia had investigated the shrine but never found any monsters.
The second problem to plague the town is that the Sunmore creek is drying up. This creek is the main water source for the town and passes through its center. The creeks water flow has demised so much that it is causing the merchant caravans to pass by the town of Four Winds. Without the water from the creek the caravans cannot refresh the thirst of their horses and other animals.
Many of the Towns people believe that Aqual has forsaken them and is punishing the citizens of Four Winds. Some people have al-ready left town in search of work elsewhere in the kingdom. Many other folk are considering leaving the town for good.
